CAPITAL CAMPAIGN 2025-2029

Paying off the past to fuel the future

Our Plan

We have a current mortgage balance of $320,000 and capitals expenses of $247,000 for the next 3 years. This means we need to raise $567,000 in our Unstoppable campaign to retire our debt and pay our expenses.

Our Process

We have a current mortgage balance of $320,000 and capitals expenses of $247,000 for the next 3 years. This means we need to raise $567,000 in our Unstoppable campaign to retire our debt and pay our expenses.

In 1999, we moved into our current building and incurred a debt of $2,500,000. As of August 2025, we paid the debt down to $520,000. We also sold the parsonage for $325,000 and applied $200,000 of the proceeds to our mortgage balance which saved us an additional $40,000 in interest payments.

A remaining balance of $320,000 is left on our mortgage.

The $247,000 of capital expenses over the next 3 years includes facility maintenance, property taxes, administrative costs and the remaining mortgage interest.

A letter from Pastor Bill

For 213 years, Peace has been UNSTOPPABLE—sharing the love and grace of Jesus with our community and beyond. No other organization or business has been part of this community longer—not even the city of Pickerington itself! We believe our greatest days are still to come.

Now, through the UNSTOPPABLE campaign, we have an opportunity to retire our facility debt—freeing vital resources for new ministries, new generations, and a renewed witness. Becoming debt-free will allow us to invest more directly into life-changing ministry and expand our impact in ways we’ve never seen before. I invite you to join me in making a financial commitment to Jesus thru Peace church! Let’s move boldly into God’s future—for our community, for the next generation, and for the world. With Jesus, Peace is truly UNSTOPPABLE.

Honored to serve as your Pastor!

In Christ,

Bill Lyle

Overview of Prayer

Our primary goal through Unstoppable is that 100% of people at Peace would engage in this campaign to experience a life-changing encounter with God.

Pray Fervently

That He would do abundantly more than we ask or imagine for His great name. My personal prayer is, “Father what do you want to do through me and my family to accomplish your plan at Peace.”

Commit Fully

Help us reach our goal of 100% engagement in Unstoppable. Stand side by side with your church family. Commit to do what God asks. Put your “Yes!” on the table.

Grow Intentionally

Attend service each Sunday that you can from October 19 through November 23. Learn all you can about God’s heart and will for you and your resources

Give Generously

Ask God to show you what it looks like to give in a way that changes you. Take whatever steps are required to see it through.

FAQ

  • Why is Peace Church focusing on debt retirement right now?

Thirty years ago, a group of faithful believers had a bold vision to reach our community for Christ. That dream led to the purchase of 30 acres at 235 Diley Road and the construction of the facility we now call home. To make that vision a reality, the church took on $2.5 million in debt. Over the years, we’ve faithfully paid down that amount and have conducted four capital campaigns to reduce the debt and invest in needed renovations and improvements. Now, through the UNSTOPPABLE campaign, we have the opportunity for a fifth and final campaign to fully eliminate our facility debt.

  • How much are we asking people to give?

We’re asking each individual and family to prayerfully consider a sacrificial,  above-and-beyond gift over a 3 year period. There is no required amount, every gift makes a meaningful impact.

  • Is this in addition to my regular giving?

Yes. Your regular tithes and offerings will continue to support the church’s daily operations and existing ministries. The UNSTOPPABLE campaign is a special, one-time opportunity to give above and beyond toward our long-term financial freedom and ministry future. If you are giving to our previous campaign we ask that you prayerfully consider continuing giving to the new campaign.

  • How can I give or commit to the campaign?

You can make your commitment  by filling out a card in person or submitting a commitment online beginning on November 23. All gifts and commitments are confidential and tax-deductible.

  • What if currently, I can’t give much or any financial gift, how else can I participate?

There are meaningful ways to support the campaign beyond giving:

Pray – Ask God to guide and bless this effort.

Serve – Find a ministry to serve in to advance the mission of Jesus thru Peace church.

Spread the Word – Invite others to come to Peace church and join in God’s mission.
