We have a group of adults & youth (current 7th grade & up) going July 5-11 to Work Camp in Chillicothe to help with repairs, painting, etc. No experience necessary. Registration forms are outside Allie’s office. Cost is $65 & youth can earn points to help offset the cost. If you would like to help sponsor a worker, please mark your offering “Work Camp Sponsor”. SENIOR KOFFEE KLATCH: All seniors are invited on Tuesday, May 13, at 1:00 p.m. in Hospitality Hall for Frank & Elie Berry’s “Every Quilt Has a Story.” GAL’S NIGHT: All ladies are invited to Peace on Friday, May 16 in hospitality hall, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Bring a snack/soda to share. Feel free to bring cards, games, a craft project or even a movie. COMMUNITY GARDEN: We are planting a garden to help those in need and we need your help! Planting is Sunday, May 18, at 2:00 p.m. EVERYONE welcome – children as well as adults. Donations accepted to help pay for fertilizer, equipment, etc. Check out the May newsletter for more details. LUNCH BUNCH will be taking the bus to the Olde Mill in Utica on Monday, May 19. Meet at Peace at 9:45 a.m. Tour is handicapped accessible. Please RSVP. PRAYER QUILT GROUP: will have 2 planning meetings on Thursday, May 22, one at 10:00 a.m. & the other at 7:00 p.m. in the conference room. Are you called to a ministry of comforting those who are hurting? A prayer quilt is a comforting gift. You will also enjoy the fellowship of other quilters. All are welcome. GOT GAMES? Gently used board games are needed to send to Siberia with our missionaries Curt & Janna Hanover. Bring games to the church no later than May 25. BATS, BALLS, SHOES & MORE! Do you have sports equipment lying around your house that isn’t used anymore? Bring your gently used equipment to the church by June 8. The equipment will be given to children in need. BIKES ALSO NEEDED. CAN YOU HELP in youth worship? No experience or prep necessary, just a love for the Lord & a desire to work with teens. MOTHER’S DAY: A Mothers Day Prayer for You on Mothers Day. For the married women who desire to have children and cannot. Also, for the single women who desire children yet are getting weary waiting on a spouse. God understands your situation and we care. "In the name of Jesus, we ask that the Holy Spirit will comfort your heart and give you peace and that our Father God would grant you your petition. Amen." (1 Samuel 1:2-17) For the single mom. God understands your challenge and we care. "In the name of Jesus, we ask that the grace of God will sustain you, the wisdom of God lead you, the love of God encompass you, and the provisions of God overtake you. Amen." (Philippians 4:13) For the moms with a child who has chosen a destructive lifestyle and is in a physical or spiritual prison. God understands your concern and we care. "In the name of Jesus, we ask that the Holy Spirit would convict them of sin. We ask for the perfect laborers to cross their path. We thank God for their salvation, deliverance and restoration. Amen." (Proverbs 11:21) For all the moms who experience grief on Mothers Day because of miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion, or a child’s death outside the womb. For all those men and women who experience grief on Mothers Day because of the loss of their mom. God understands and we care. "In the name of Jesus we ask that the Holy Spirit will comfort your hearts and give you peace. Jesus bore your grief so you don't have to. Jesus we thank you for removing the grief and healing the heart. Amen" (Isaiah 53:4) In the name of Jesus we pray for all of our mothers on Mothers Day. May God our Father bless you and strengthen you and encourage you. May your eyes be opened that you and others may see that your price is far above rubies and may your children rise up and call you blessed. (Proverbs 31:10-31)"
CAR SHOW & SILENT AUCTION
Come join your Peace family on June 8th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. for our 3rd year of this great event! Bring your friends and neighbors and come out to support the many missions outreach programs our church sponsors. There’s something for the whole family! Register your vehicle for the show (open to all vehicles), enjoy music from our own DJ Steve Seymour, have a meal, bid on items from our silent auction, enter the bake-off or just enjoy the tasty entries in the bake sale, kids can play games & play in the giant inflatables. Volunteers are needed: concessions, silent auction, bake sale, set-up, tear down & games. We also need to borrow 6 EZ Ups. Mark the insert if you can help. Donate a dessert: if it’s homemade, let us know & it will be entered into the bake-off for a chance to win prizes! Silent Auction items needed:

REGISTER NOW FOR VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL!
We are going to the “Peace Power Lab,” to discover Jesus’ miraculous power! Vacation Bible School will be oozing with Bible adventures June 23-27, 9:00 a.m. to noon. Children ages 3 (by Jan. 1, 2008) thru fall’s 7th graders are invited to sign up. Fall’s 6th & 7th graders (Crew 67) will have their own schedule & activities. Suggested donation is $10 per child to help with the cost of craft expenses, t-shirt & snacks.
We need volunteers! Adults of all ages are needed, you do not have to have children to volunteer. Sign up at the V.B.S. display in the lobby! We need crew leaders – no teaching is involved, you & your group of 6-8 kids go to various stations where another volunteer leads the activity. Nursery care is available. Youth (fall’s 9-12 graders) as well as adults are needed. Eighth graders can sign up to help at stations or work as an assistant crew leader.) Only available part of the week, we can still use you! Help with decorating: We need LOTS of people to help decorate at noon on Sunday, June 22. Donate supplies: M & M’s, 2x4’s, buckets of ice cream and more are needed! Check out the supply list at the V.B.S. display. This is a great way to participate for those unable to physically help during V.B.S. (Be certain to mark loaned items with name & phone number.) V.B.S. music is available for those of you who want to get a head start learning our Sonic Sing & Play music, we have CD’s $10 & cassettes $5 at the Welcome Center.
