“Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.” – 1 Timothy 4:12
The Student Ministry at Peace Church is busy every Sunday! Find the right spot for your student below and contact Kate Smith for more information on getting connected.
Sunday School: Sundays at 9:15 AM
Come and be part of our open group discussions on topics that YOU bring. We encourage students to keep their eyes open during the week in the news and at school to anything that peaks their interest and bring it to church that week. We will look at the issues and see where God fits in and what the Bible might teach us about them. Always great conversations and lots of laughs. Open to all students 7th-12th. Hope to see you there!
Culture is blurring the lines between different faiths. It is increasingly difficult for students to grasp how their faith in Jesus Christ is unique.
We will spend four weeks addressing tough questions like:
1. What’s the big deal about Jesus?
2. Was Jesus God or just a good guy?
3. Were Jesus’ miracles just an illusion?
4. Is Jesus the only way to heaven?
Student Worship: Sundays 6:00-8:00p
Sunday evenings we open up the student worship room for an awesome time of sharing a meal, worship, teaching, and discussion. We work hard to make sure all students feel welcomed and comfortable so that the Holy Spirit can reach as many young people as possible. Friends and guests always welcomed.
Current Series: The 3rd Way
The Bible can often times be confusing. We are left to grapple with seemingly polarizing topics as if there are only two solutions or conclusions. What if there was a third way? We will spend Student Worship in March and April talking about hot topics such as violence, gender roles, creation, afterlife, and the devil. Student Worship takes place starting in March from 12:00-2:00p and includes lunch, worship, teaching, and discussion.
Youth Praise Band
The band plays Sunday mornings during our student worship and helps lead services through their gifts and talents in lifting up God’s name! If you play an instrument, love to sing, or enjoying running sound systems or graphic design we encourage you to contact Kate Smith and become part of our worship team.
High School Study: Wednesday Nights
Current Series: World Religions
Our society is more religiously diverse than ever. Yet many of us know very little about Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, and Judaism. It is essential that Christians seek to understand the faiths and beliefs of others – to know how these faiths are similar to and different from their own faith – and to use that understanding to build bridges with others so that we might grow in our faith, seek peace in our world, love our neighbor, and find positive ways to talk about our beliefs and faith. We will spend March, April, and May exploring the different world religions.
