FAQs

What do I wear?
Don’t worry about what to wear. We are more concerned with meeting your needs than with what you wear. Most people will dress in casual weekend attire, so dress how you feel comfortable and you’ll fit right in.
Got Kids?
PEACE cares about kids. We provide nursery (newborn to age 2) and toddler (age 2 and 3) at both our 9:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. services. At 9:15 a.m. our kids are invited to Rainbow Café which is a one room school-house offering including drama, singing and interactive teaching. For kids age 4 through 6th grade we offer Wonderland Sunday school at 10:45 a.m. It is broken down by ages and grades as follows: Promise Land: 4 yrs. & 5 yrs. not in Kindergarten, Paradise Garden: Kindergarten, Living Water: 1st Grade, Faith Mountain: 2nd Grade, Reign Forest: 3rd & 4th Grade and Heir Force: 5th & 6th Grade.
Our children’s ministry is uniquely designed to so that no matter what age your child is they will experience engaging age-appropriate teaching, music, and activities all developed to point your child toward a daily relationship with Christ. Our children’s ministry is staffed by dedicated servants who will be there week after week to love and care for your child. Utilizing a check-in system that ensures a safe environment for your child, this also allows for efficient drop-off and pick-up for parents. All the children’s ministry servants have had background checks and are dedicated to fulfilling our mission, which is: The mission of children’s ministry is to supplement the family in their quest to build a spiritual foundation by teaching biblical truths in relevant ways, empowering and equipping kids to love God completely and love others radically. We will attempt to disciple them into fully submitted followers of Christ.
What Can I expect?
The very first thing we will ask of you is simple: just relax! Have a cup of coffee on us. You’re with friends. Don’t worry about being flagged, tagged or pointed out as a “newbie.” In fact we won’t make you stand-up, clap or do anything you don’t feel comfortable doing.
What does a typical service look like at PEACE?
Good question! We offer two distinct styles of worship at PEACE a traditional service at 9:15 a.m. that includes hymns, a choir, and liturgy and a contemporary service at 10:45 a.m. that includes a band. However, be assured that whatever service you attend it will include high-impact music and a relevant biblical message. We are willing to take significant risks to communicate God’s word. PEACE is a multi-generational church utilizing multi-sensory elements to contextualize without compromising the message of Christ. We welcome individuals of every age and race. The entire service usually runs about an hour. By the way, we will also serve communion once a month at all our services.
How
do I get connected or learn more?
Our church has made a big commitment to helping people discover their purpose in life and find ways to live it out. The easiest way to do that is to contact PEACE’s Resident Pastor, Rev. Seth Oiler. His job is to help you connect with God and us.

Where does all the money we give to the church go?
100% of the money goes to building God’s kingdom. It is broken down as follows:
In other words about 21% goes to Administrative Services which helps to run the day-to-day operations of the church. About 18% is used for Discipleship to help our church grow in their faith. About 16% goes toward the maintenance and upkeep of our Facilities which provide the space for our ministry. Around 19% goes toward Worship ministries which lead us into the presence of God. About 8% is used for our Care ministry which supports those who are going through difficult times and about 18% is used for Missions: locally, nationally and internationally. All income and expenses are available to anyone who asks. If you would like a copy of the budget simply contact the church office at 614-837-3732 or business@peaceumc.org.
Why do you have 2 different worship styles?
We believe that there is no one right way to worship God. Just as people have different tastes in food, different clothing styles and music preferences, we have different ways of relating to God. We believe by offering different styles of worship we can connect with more people and effectively reach them for Christ.
