answer to a vital need in our community to provide care and Christian nurture
for little ones in our church and community.

About
the Staff
The
Parent’s Day Out Ministry staff is trained to provide a safe environment for
young children. Their technique of
handling children in a warm, sensitive and loving manner will encourage the
development of the “whole child.” The
staff is made up of persons who see themselves as doing ministry by being
positive role models for young children.
Staff
members have taken classes in CPR, Communicable Diseases, First Aid and Child
Abuse Recognition, and hold degrees in Education.
Peace Church follows a Safe Sanctuaries Policy which states that all of
our staff must have a current background check.
Your Child Will …
Have a variety of learning opportunities geared toward individual development at his/her own level. Here’s an example of some of the opportunities and activities planned.
- Science – nature, animals, personal health, nutrition, weather
- Reading Readiness – language development, listening, observing,
name recognition, alphabet
- Math Readiness – working with numbers, number recognition,
counting, shapes
- Art – creative opportunities through easel and finger painting,
play dough, scissors, glue, collages, crayons and a variety of other art media
- Everyday Life – activities that make the children feel they are
helping and being responsible. Examples:
being a helper, sharing, cooking, using good manners, clean-up
- Social Development – encouraged through free play and organized
group activities
- Motor Development – activities to help develop and define both large and small motor skills

Parent’s Day Out Ministry
Children
from age 2 to 4 year olds
Classes
Fridays, 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Each
child is to bring a lunch (including beverage)
Registration
fee is $65 per child
Tuition
is $75 a month for the first child, $45 a month for each additional child.
At
Parent’s
Day Out We …
Invite
parents, grandparents, or guardians to visit … and we encourage you to help a
time or two during the “school” year.
Ask that your children dress comfortably.
Ask that you provide us with a change of clothing.
Remind you that we follow the Pickerington school calendar.
Please note that when there is no school in Pickerington due to inclement weather, etc. there is no Parent's Day Out.

WEATHER REMINDER: If Pickerington schools are cancelled due to weather, then Parent's Day Out is cancelled. If Pickerington schools are on a 2-hour delay, so is Parent's Day Out (program would be from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m.
